Understand, Defend & Share Your Faith
A week-long camp for teens (Grades 7 - college)
WV+ REUNION will be October 2-4 – please write down the dates. Invite others, also. This short weekend is a good way to have others see what WV+ is like. The only form of publicity I have is you so if this is to continue I need you to spread the word. We will look at the very uplifting book of Philippians.
WV+ 2010 will be June 13-20. We can’t have it earlier for schools aren’t over and many are still finishing up their school. A week later is Creation and mission trips start. Unfortunately the last day will be Father’s Day again. We squeezed my Father’s Day into the evening, but you could celebrate Father’s Day a week or 2 early as well.
Our topic will be “The Lamb is King.” This is my very, very favorite series to teach of everything I ever do because it is all about Jesus. I dress in costume for each session.
Monday: “:The Tearful Entry” by Joses
Tuesday: “What Will Wash Away My Sins?” by John (Last Supper reenactment)
Wednesday: “The Day They Arrested God” by Nathaniel
Thursday: “Brokenness” by Peter
Friday: “I Just Flogged a God” by Pilate
Saturday: :The Day Death Died (Crucifixion)” by Barabbas
Sunday: “Peace Be With You (Resurrection)” by Thomas

Refreshment for your body, soul and spirit
HOME SCHOOL
RETREAT
THE PRAYING FAMILY
April 27-30, 2010
$50 per person
Camp Sankanac, Pottstown, PA
Boating, fishing, hot dog roast, free pizza and ice cream, talent show, lots of free time
This is our 23rd annual retreat.
Free time activities include boating, fishing, baseball, hiking trails, basketball, soccer, ping pong, air hockey, children’s tea party and paper airplane contest and much more. Family evening activities will feature a talent show, campfires, ice cream social and sing-along.
Topic for the ADULT, CHILDREN & TEEN times will be about the need and place of having fun in life. MENS’ and WOMENS’ SESSIONS will focus on this topic as well.
We sleep in heated cabins and bring our own food, which we eat together in the camp dining hall. Supper is a buffet of pre-made casseroles and salads. One night we’ll have a hot dog roast. We’ll still provide free pizza one night and ice cream for our social. A professional square dance caller is coming Tuesday evening.
The cost is $50 per person (this is a non-profit event). We have a scholarship fund to assure that all who want to come are able. Donations to this fund are greatly appreciated! If you stay in your own RV the cost is $30 per person (electrical hookups are available). Coming for a day is $15. Many fathers come with their families, but others are only able to come for a few days, just in the evening, or not at all – whatever works for theirs schedule.
A packet of materials will be sent to all who reserve a spot by sending $50 to "Jerry Schmoyer" 252 W. State St., Doylestown, Pa. 18901 (215-348-8086, jerry@schmoyer.net). If you sign up but can’t come your money will be refunded.
PLEASE pass this information on to others in your home school group. Also please pray for God’s blessing on this very special time. Thanks!
